From Survival to Resilience: My Journey to Healing and Helping Others

For many years, I lived with Complex PTSD and fibromyalgia. There were days when the pain and exhaustion were so overwhelming, I couldn’t get out of bed. I felt disconnected from my body, my breath, and myself. My relationship with food, movement, and even rest was marked by stress and survival.

Everything began to shift when I discovered the power of mindful movement and breathwork.

One transformative moment came during a physiotherapy session. I had just received a distressing email and was struggling to focus on a breathing exercise. My therapist gently observed that my nervous system was dysregulated—even though I insisted I felt “fine.” With their support, I was able to reconnect with my breath. In that moment, something clicked. I felt calm, grounded, and truly present in my body for the first time in years.

That experience opened the door to a profound truth: trauma lives in the body, and the breath can guide us home.

I went on to study the BioDynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System®, and the impact on my health was life-changing. My blood pressure lowered, inflammation subsided, and I began to sleep better and feel more energized. But perhaps most importantly, I rediscovered my purpose.

Today, as a Trauma-Informed Breathworks Practitioner, I support others on their journeys of healing and transformation. I help people reconnect with their bodies, reclaim their breath, and reclaim their inner strength.

Healing isn’t linear. I still have hard days. But now I meet them with compassion, patience, and presence. I feel alive again—and it brings me immense joy to walk alongside others as they, too, rediscover the wisdom and resilience within.
